Xiaomi Nepal Provides NPR 2 Million for Flood and Landslide Relief

Kathmandu: Xiaomi Nepal has provided financial assistance of NPR 2 million to support relief, rescue and rehabilitation efforts for communities affected by the devastating floods and landslides triggered by the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on Bhadra 10, 2083.

The contribution will be deposited into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund and will be used to support relief efforts for families and communities affected by the disaster.

The floods and landslides caused significant loss of lives and property across several areas, leaving many families affected. Xiaomi Nepal said the contribution reflects its commitment to standing with communities during times of crisis and supporting humanitarian efforts in Nepal.

The assistance was jointly handed over to the Finance Minister by Sanjay Agrawal, Executive Director of Ramesh Corp; Nitesh Kumar Mundra, Director of Vatsal Impex; and Dinesh Rai, Sales and Distribution Head of Xiaomi Nepal.

During the handover ceremony, the representatives expressed their condolences to the families who lost loved ones and sympathies to communities affected by the disaster. They also reaffirmed their support for the government’s ongoing relief, rescue and rehabilitation efforts.

Xiaomi Nepal said supporting affected communities during such a difficult time is a shared responsibility and expressed hope that its contribution would help strengthen ongoing relief and rescue operations.

Under its commitment to “Together with Nepal, For Nepal,” Xiaomi Nepal has continued to support communities across the country during both prosperity and adversity. The company also reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to social responsibility and humanitarian initiatives whenever needed.
