The nine-day-long Gaijatra festival of Bhaktapur concluded on Friday amid the exhibition of the cultural ghintangghisi dance. This cultural dance is performed by those who disguise themselves as cows in decorative costumes, facemasks and headdress.

The festival had started with a puja conducted by the Natyashwori Temple Guthi Sansthan at Sukuldhoka in the evening on Janaipurnima. On the commencement day, the Ghintangghisi dance went through the city.

Similarly, on the concluding day, hundreds of people took out a rally along with lit candles going through the city.

Various cultural and traditional dances including that of Devi, Mahakali, Bhairav, Lakhe and monkey were also organised.
