ICT Foundation Nepal (IFN), in collaboration with Google LLC and Mero Job Limited, has opened applications for the ‘Google Career Certificates Scholarship Program 2026.’ The program has been launched targeting Nepali learners who want to enhance their skills in information technology and other technology-related fields.

Under the program, 500 fully funded scholarship seats will be available for eligible candidates across Nepal. The organizers have stated that prior experience is not mandatory to participate in the program.

Implemented as an official NPO partner under the Merojob-Google Career Certificates Scholarship Program 2026, this initiative will provide participants access to professional training designed by Google and delivered through Coursera. ICT Foundation Nepal and Mero Job Limited will provide local-level coordination and support.

According to the organizers, the program will offer participants a guided, flexible, and career-oriented learning opportunity. It is expected to be especially beneficial for students, recent graduates, working professionals, women, and individuals from underserved and vulnerable communities, financially disadvantaged learners with strong determination, and those looking to change careers and enter the growing digital economy.

The available courses include Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing and E-commerce, IT Support, Project Management, UX Design, IT Automation with Python, Advanced Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, AI Essentials, Prompting Essentials, and AI Professional Certificate. Each course will take 3 to 6 months to complete and must be completed within six months of onboarding.

Learners may enroll in one or more of the courses they choose. However, the organizers have stated that applicants must ensure they can dedicate sufficient time, commitment, and continuous engagement to successfully complete the selected courses.

Among the important conditions of the program, a learner who remains continuously inactive for 60 days or more may have their scholarship seat reassigned to another eligible candidate. To ensure program quality, monthly progress will be monitored, and scholarship recipients are expected to complete at least 70 percent of the program. The personal data of participants will be managed confidentially in accordance with the laws of Nepal.
