Gandaki: Traffic has been suspended on the Beni-Jomsom and Beni-Darbang roads during nighttime hours due to forecasts of heavy rain.

The District Security Committee made this decision, effective from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM on the nights of Sunday and Monday.

The Beni-Jomsom road, part of the Kaligandaki Corridor, is a crucial route for travelers between Muktinath and Korala boarder point.

Additionally, the closure of the Beni-Darbang road, which connects West Myagdi to the district headquarters, has also been implemented for the same duration.

Chief District Officer Ravindra Acharya confirmed these measures were adopted to ensure public safety amid adverse weather conditions.
