President Paudel insists on developing Chundiramgha as literary hub
Damauli : President Ramchandra Paudel has stressed the need to develop Chundiramgha, the birthplace of Adikavi Bhanubhakta, as a centre of language and literature.
In his address after laying the foundation stone for the Bhanu Literary Park at Chundiramgha in Bhanu Municipality–4, Tanahu today, the President highlighted the significant contribution of Adikavi Bhanubhakta in the recognition and promotion of the Nepali language.
Describing language as a means of unity, the Head of State said that the birthplace of the Adikavi, who is credited with the recognition of the Nepali language, should be developed as a hub of Nepali language and literature.
He expressed hope that the construction of the park in memory of the great poet of Nepali literature would help promote the area at both national and international levels. The President further stated that the literary park should be considered a centre of national unity.
He urged everyone to support the initiatives aimed at materializing these long-awaited efforts.
Lawmaker from Tanahu–2, Shreeram Neupane, said that the foundations of good governance and the rule of law have recently been strengthened, expressing hope that the government would accelerate the pace of development in the country.
According to the approved master plan, the project to construct the park is estimated to cost around Rs 1 billion. Mayor Ananda Raj Tripathi stated that, for the current fiscal year, the Urban Development Ministry at the federal level has allocated Rs 2 million.
This budget will be used to upgrade and blacktop a motorable road from Shikhar Kateri to Ramgha Danda.
Likewise, the construction a 54-foot-tall statue of the Adikavi is planned for the site. Around 400 ropani of land (one ropani equals 5,476 square feet) has already been acquired for the project. Its implementation is expected to promote cultural, tourism, and research activities in the area.
